What is this masterclass about?
The masterclass will cover the evidence-base and the practical aspects related to attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), including the epidemiology, diagnosis, and the pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
The management of comorbidities, as well as the psychosocial and educational approaches and considerations will also be discussed.
Delegates will have the opportunity to present clinical scenarios from their caseload throughout the day.

Speaker biographies
Dr Nicoletta Adamo is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology aand Neuroscience at King’s College London. She also works as an honorary Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in the specialist service for children with Autism and complex neurodevelopmental disorders, at The Maudsley Hospital. She holds a PhD from King’s College London and has published extensively on the clinical and pharmacological management of ADHD and on the overlap between neurodevelopmental conditions.
Dr Rachel Kent is a Senior Clinical Psychologist in the Service for Complex Autism and Associated Neurodevelopmental Disorders within Specialist CAMHS at SLAM. Rachel has extensive clinical experience of working with young people with ADHD alongside multiple other conditions, has additional interests in emotion regulation and adaptations to psychological therapies for neurodivergent young people.
Dr James Gilsenan is a Senior Educational Psychologist in the Neurodevelopmental Outpatient and the Intensive Intervention Teams within the Specialist CAMHS at The Maudsley Hospital. James has specialist knowledge of educational strategies and approaches to support children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders. He has extensive experience working with children and young people within local authority mainstream and specialist schools.
